The sand filter is designed to work seamlessly with an ozone sanitation system: ozone generated by the ozone generator is injected into the return water line after the sand filter, so that the filter first removes physical impurities, then the ozone oxidizes dissolved organics, bacteria, and viruses without the filter media consuming or degrading the ozone. This integration combines mechanical filtration with powerful oxidation, significantly improving water clarity and hygiene while lowering chlorine levels and extending filter run cycles.
